(0:00 - 0:10) Farm details (name, description, location)
(0:10 - 0:25) Overview of the Farm Emissions Sources. The list includes a polytunnel (Tunnel 25) and an irrigation rig. The irrigation rig is modelled as sosa:Actuator with sosa:actsOnProperty relating to the water supply in the polytunnel 25 and the feature of interest being tunnel 25.
(0:25 - 0:42) Details of the electricity sensor observing the electricity consumption of the irrigation rig. Example data include cumulative daily readings for one month simulating consistent irrigation during summer months.

Creating Calculation Method Plan

(0:00 - 0:06) Name the calculation method.
(0:06 - 0:35) Build the calculation method by describing individual steps and the logic that should be performed during step execution. In our case we want to multiply two inputs (Electricity Usage and Electricity Conversion Factor) to obtain an output (Electricity Footprint).
(0:35 - 1:14) Assign SPARQL CONSTRUCT queries to the individual parts of the step calculation logic to generate corresponding parts of the provenance trace. The queries use $Asset, $Output, $Variable which are automatically replaced by the specific IRIs. $Asset - IRI of the asset for which the calculation is performed (e.g. irrigation rig); $Variable - IRI of the variable relating to the specific part of the calculation formula (e.g. conversion factor); $Output - the value calculated by executing a step (e.g. result of multiplying two inputs).

(0:00 - 0:06) Select the asset for which you want to calculate the footprint estimate.
(0:06 - 0:10) Check that the asset is associated with at least one emission calculation formula.
(0:10 - 0:21) The system executes the calculation formula by looking up the required observations (in this case electricity observations produced by teh electricity meter) and conversion factors as specified by the SPARQL queries. The information shown on the Carbon Footprint Estimate tab lists details of any peco:EmissionScore and the corresponding calculation formula recorded in the provenance trace.

(0:41 - 0:48) The tool performs four example validation queries on the provenance trace. In this case a warning for a potentially out of date conversion factor is displayed.
